Katwa Trip-Part 1

As I previously mentioned, on December 31, 2008 I had the great fortune to go to Katwa. Katwa is the place where Lord Caitanya took sannyasa from Keshava Bharati. It is mentioned that Keshava Bharati did not want to give Lord Caitanya sannyasa and the Lord Caitanya only convinced him by whispering the very same sannyasa mantra that Keshava Bharati would give to him. At that time, Mahaprabhu's curling, black locks of hair were shaven off. Lord Caitanya's hair was so beautiful that if one saw just one strand of his hair, one would be infused with Krsna prema. The barber who shaved this beautiful hair of Mahaprabhu was called Madhu and after doing this service, he never resumed his occupation of being a barber.
