Needles and sequins and pins....

As I had mentioned earlier, 2 weeks ago we had finished making outfits for Gauranga/Nitai....here's all of us hard at work!

This is the outfit I was able to make with help from the devotees who sew for Radha Madhava

Dear Vrindavan Vinodini didi,

RAdhe Radhe! Pamho. AgtSP!

Hare Krishna! I was just reading with much interest your new post on Deity dress making and looking at the beautiful pictures that you took of the process.

I would also like to try to make Deity dresses following the process that takes place in Mayapur and I was wondering if you would be able to shed some light on how the fabric is stretched onto the frames and also how the Deity silk is attached to the fabric for the embroidery and sewing work?

I am thinking that it might be possible to make a similar frame in the West and also make some Deity dresses that are similar to the ones that are worn by RAdha Madhava and Radha Shyamsundara in Vrindavan. What would be more special would be that I would have made it myself!!

So if you are able to share more information about it, i would really appreciate it as i have a great love for Deity worship too and it would be nice for those of us unable to make it to Mayapur to do those courses to learn a little something from you.

Thank you for your time and thanks for sharing so many wonderful posts and pictures!
